In line with its vision of supporting youth potential and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Excellence at the Prime Minister’s Office, inaugurated on Sunday, September 14, 2025, the training course entitled “Project Plan Development”, which will run for five days. The course, which brings together twenty trainees from among students and graduates, aims to equip participants with practical skills to design viable and implementable entrepreneurial project plans. The training sessions are being delivered by certified entrepreneurship trainer Umayma Kazem. On the second day of the program, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University, attended part of the activities and reviewed a number of proposed project ideas presented by the participants. He praised their innovative mindset, strong motivation, and determination to move forward in realizing their entrepreneurial aspirations. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Al-Zuhairy affirmed that the doors of Al-Mustaqbal University will always remain open to provide guidance and support, encouraging participants to maintain ongoing communication with the university in order to assess their post-training steps and transform their ideas into pioneering projects that contribute to community service and sustainable development. In line with its commitment to fostering international academic partnerships and enhancing students’ skills, Al-Mustaqbal University hosted the renowned French expert, Mr. Stephan Diaz, in a specialized training workshop titled “Zero Pain Dentistry”, organized under the auspices of ABLAL International – Baghdad/Al-Mansour Branch. The workshop, held at the Student Activities Hall in the Medical Building, lasted over ninety minutes and drew a wide audience of faculty members and students from the College of Dentistry. It served as a significant scientific contribution by showcasing the latest global practices in pain-free dental treatment, thereby enriching participants’ knowledge and refining their practical skills. During the visit, the university presented its honorary shield to Mr. Diaz, along with an additional shield awarded to Dr. Azhar, the representative of ABLAL International. The event concluded with a campus tour of the College of Dentistry and its university clinics, where the guest expressed his admiration for the academic standards and modern facilities, capturing commemorative photographs within the campus. This training workshop forms part of a series of initiatives led by the Career Development Division, designed to attract international expertise and transfer advanced knowledge to students, thereby enhancing their professional qualifications and strengthening Al-Mustaqbal University’s academic reputation regionally and internationally. Aligned with the strategic vision of Al-Mustaqbal University and under the directives of its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, to empower students and graduates with the competence and confidence required to thrive in today’s competitive labor market, the university, in collaboration with the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Excellence at the Prime Minister’s Office, inaugurated its fifteenth training program entitled “Business Plan Development”. The program was conducted from August 24 to 28, 2025, with the participation of 16 students and graduates representing diverse academic disciplines. This advanced program was designed to cultivate entrepreneurial capabilities and equip participants with the expertise to transform innovative ideas into viable, market-ready ventures. The curriculum encompassed the development of comprehensive business plans in accordance with leading international standards, critical evaluation of entrepreneurial concepts in terms of innovation, sustainability, and feasibility, and the formulation of precise financial assessments including cost structures, pricing strategies, and profit projections. In addition, participants were guided through advanced techniques for market and competitor analysis, identification of gaps and emerging opportunities, design of innovative marketing strategies, and deployment of effective promotional mechanisms—culminating in the establishment of strategic networks and partnerships that significantly enhance the likelihood of entrepreneurial success. The training was delivered by Ms. Omaima Al-Taie, Head of the Career Development Division at the university, who holds an advanced certification in entrepreneurship following her participation in a specialized executive program. Her expertise enabled the delivery of a high-impact and practice-oriented program tailored to the evolving needs of students and graduates. The session featured a keynote lecture by Dr. Cornelia Jesse, an international expert in higher education development and policy planning within European contexts. Dr. Jesse serves at the French Ministry of Higher Education, where she contributes to the development of strategic education policies that align academic programs with labor market demands—particularly in the fields of innovation and sustainability. Part of its ongoing efforts to enhance Students' Skills and develop their capabilities in line with the Labor Market Requirements, Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-Up Division has organized a Specialized Training Workshop at the College of Science entitled Enhancement of Medical Physics Students' Skills in accordance with Labor Market Requirements" The Workshop has been conducted under the Supervision of Mr. Hussein Naeem, in cooperation with the Physiotherapist Mr. Zaidoun Eyad Ali, in which focus has been concentrated on the importance of linking Students' Theoretical Knowledge with Practical Applications in the Field of Physical Therapy, being a Vital Sector of Healthcare. Besides, the Workshop has emphasized the essential role of Physical Therapy at retrieving joint and muscle movement as well as their flexibility through the use of Modern Technologies, such as Programmed Traction Devices, Medical Lasers, Shock Waves, and Electrical Stimulation Devices. Furthermore, the Workshop has also focused on Physical Therapy as a Non-Surgical Treatment Alternative, stressing the importance of the Patient's Psychological Inclination to accelerate his recovery. There is no doubt that this Workshop has significantly contributed in the enhancement of Students Skills in line with the Labor Market Requirements, being provided with more opportunities to learn about the Latest Techniques in Physical Therapy, and thus becoming highly qualified with greater efficiency. Acquisition of Practical Skills and Experiences has also been taken into consideration as they would enable Students to effectively interact with Practical Challenges at Healthcare Institutions. Accordingly, Achievement of Effective Partnerships between Educational Institutions and Healthcare Sector has been strongly emphasized, with the aim of providing Decent Job Opportunities to Graduates, and therefore, having a role in the improvement of Community Healthcare Quality. We should keep in mind after all that the Workshop has had a vital role in the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 3: Good Health & Well-being, by raising Health Awareness and Prevention, SDG 4: Quality Education that can be achieved through the promotion of Students Technical & Practical Skills, and SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals that can be realized by strengthening cooperation between Universities, Research Centers, as well as Health Sector that would support the provision of Sustainable Job Opportunities, and meanwhile raising the Development of Medical & Therapeutic Knowledge.
